April 26 – May 2
I’m a little late posting this, not because of the Kentucky Derby related events, BUT because I actually wrote too much and was trying to decide how to deal with that. There are two pieces that really ended up too long for a week summary:
- I ended up doing a sort of “how I’m reading and what e-ink device I’m using.”
- AI as part of the design process (not to create ai slop or full designs but actually as part of the process.)
I’ll try and polish these up and post later this week.
In case you need an additional dose of celestial space a la NASA:
- Photography of the lunar flyby: https://www.nasa.gov/gallery/lunar-flyby/
- Mix of photos and mostly videos but organized by day: https://www.nasa.gov/centers-and-facilities/johnson/artemis-ii-mission-milestones-an-image-and-video-recap/
- Earthset shot on an iphone by Reid Wiseman (originally posted on X):

New Music:
In addition to the ebook organizing I’ve done, I’ve figured out my workflow for new music exploration too finally:
2026 Week 18 Music Sampler – 1
~35 tracks, 3 hours of music: https://tidal.com/playlist/e3dfdd26-bfc6-4d59-bd82-edaf24cca896
2026 Week 18 Music Sampler – 2
~99 tracks, 6 hours of music: https://tidal.com/playlist/79b29a88-860f-484e-96a4-ce83a07bef7e
I’m not going to include the bandcamp links this week for ALL of these but most of these can be found for purchase there.
I did in fact download an iphone camera app I’m enjoying:
https://www.macworld.com/article/3111956/how-im-taking-much-better-photos-with-my-iphone.html
I have had Halide in the past but Moment’s app recently caught my attention and I’ve been tinkering with it. It has an interface that fits more with how I think AND lets me save some presets. I DO NOT THINK THIS ARTICLE GOT THE CORRECT LINK FOR THIS APP (correct link): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/moment-pro-camera-ii/id6748837351
The company also makes iphone lenses but you don’t need those the use the app. And the app IS ~$10 but I believe that’s better than a free app that has no privacy components.
