• 1 egg
• 4 oz apple sauce or pear sauce (one individual serving container)
• 3 tblsp brown sugar
• 1 tblsp butter
• 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (maybe a little more)
• 1 tblsp baking powder
• 2 scoops (48grams) protein powder

Directions:

• Preheated oven to 350
• whisk together egg, applesauce and brown sugar
• melt chocolate chips and butter together either using a double boiler or just very carefully to not burn in a pan on the stove occasionally stirring (key here is to not burn the chocolate and get it melted)
• whisk chocolate butter mixture into your egg mixture
• add baking powder and protein powder and whisk again
• pour into buttered, oiled OR paper lined cupcake pan
• cook for approximately 20 minutes (double check with a toothpick … I started checking at 15 and kept adding time so I might be off on this.)
• Cool and eat.

Makes 6 brownie cupcakes (yes one was eaten before the photo)

Approximate per brownie:

• 175 calories
• 19 grams of carbs
• 7 grams of fat
• 9 grams of protein

It’s been very windy here. Nothing like the coast with Hurricane Sandy I’m sure but we’re getting gusts in the 40mph range and it looks like it might snow tonight.

I wouldn’t have tried to do a handspring with a messed up / healing back but I was diving into a pool with minimal pain last weekend.

My brain was stuck on a loop last night while trying to go to sleep. I kept reviewing the back dive I did which I overshot my arch on. I really wanted to get that in before the pool closed for the summer but it was a pretty bad dive in terms of splash and form.

Toes on the edge back to the water, stare out on the horizon, wait for the board to stop bouncing, breath in, stand up straighter, arms in and swing down bend knees and press down, breath bounce up and swing arms up and over the head and arch back look back but not to far, hold breath close eyes hands touch water straighten and in, arch and swim to the surface, breathe.

That’s probably only half of what your body goes through in doing a simple single back dive. There’s something poetic to it. A simple physical goal to achieve. A shape, a motion, a breath. And a million little thoughts.

The paint is Rust-Oleum Universal Advance Formula Spray Paint, Brown Hammered. It IS a pain in the behind to work with. You should wear gloves and shake hard while using it. However the final product looks WONDERFUL.

I might however try the version of this that requires a primer next time … or maybe not because I can see a bit of the brass through which adds to the depth of color.

Here’s what I wrote to my Congressmen:

I oppose SOPA and PIPA.

Why?
SOPA and PIPA would put the burden on website owners to police user-contributed material and call for the unnecessary blocking of entire sites. Small sites won’t have sufficient resources to defend themselves. Big media companies may seek to cut off funding sources for their foreign competitors, even if copyright isn’t being infringed. Foreign sites will be blacklisted, which means they won’t show up in major search engines. SOPA and PIPA would build a framework for future restrictions and suppression.

And yet SOPA & PIPA will NOT PREVENT ONLINE PIRACY. Isn’t that the whole point of these bills? Watch this video and you might understand why.

The part of the video where typing the long numeric address will still take you to the site, this is how people who actively seek to pirate material will access these sites if they pass and then leave the burden on those who aren’t.

The fact that there’s NO DUE PROCESS means that if your site is mistaken as a copyright violator, there’s no easy recourse. No honest “ack, let me take that down, I didn’t realize” or even argue that you properly own the copyrights!

And if you think I don’t understand what I’m talking about, here’s how I would get to my business site if SOPA/PIPA were to decide I (or many of my clients) violated someone’s copyrights:

Annnnnd I think I started thinking about IP addresses too hard and got that bit about multiple sites coming down wrong. But it makes me want to go read the wording on how they expect to implement the removal of a copyright violating site. And also point out the the potential for human error in that process.
